Two friends in the 1980's were graduating from Cosmetology School. They went clubbing every Friday downtown. When Jen and Aubrey started dating their new boyfriends in town they became head-over-heels. Is their new love everlasting, or does their relationship take a turn for the worst?

I was impressed at how well Terrill recreated the 80’s atmosphere thanks to detailed descriptions. It was like being back then and there. The story felt interesting enough but sadly this is just the first part of a longer story. There is only exposition, but no conflict, climax, nor resolution. The writing style was good, and the setting was interesting, but I took one star off because this is not a complete story, and it doesn’t even feel like a complete book in a series.

Becky Brabham’s narration was correct but I think I would have enjoyed a bit more expressiveness and character differentiation.

The premises were good but the story feels incomplete. It is a quick and light listen, just 44 minutes. I wish it was longer and with a more complete plot.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
