Book Review: Mindfulness for Beginners by Brittany Hallison

I received a copy of this book in audio format in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a good approach to mindful meditation for beginners. The total runs under 50 minutes, but just 42 correspond to the actual book, the rest is a promo for other books.

It is just an introduction, as the title says. It starts explaining what mindful meditation is and its benefits. It continues giving some guidelines about it, explaining some basic techniques and postures, and ends repeating again part of the information given at the introduction.

To clarify, it does not have recorded meditation sessions, just some guidelines to practice yourself.

I found it a bit lacking of content but it is just an introduction. If you know nothing about meditation, this is the book for you. If you have already some experience, you may want to listen to a book that goes deeper into the subject.

Tia Sorensen did a good job narrating this book, using a relaxed tone and very clear diction.
